My wife's Studio 1555 laptop would not charge and I borrowed a voltmeter to check out the cheapest thing that could have stopped working which ws the AC adapter. Fortunately, that was indeed the problem and this was much cheaper than the OEM one directly from Dell so I thought I'd give it a try.
